Job Description

Forensic Clinical Team Leaders play a pivotal role in shaping programs and policies within the Community Interventions team. They provide consultancy on placement and management of service user cohorts, ensuring effective delivery of services to individuals with complex forensic presentations.

  • Develop and implement programs that cater to the rehabilitation needs of service users.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain professional expertise by engaging in direct service delivery, including comprehensive risk assessments and facilitating group or individual interventions.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading staff in clinical teams.
  • Significant knowledge of evidence-based treatment models and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Adherence to key therapist characteristics, such as empathy and warmth, to facilitate therapeutic relationships.
  • Minimum four years post-registration clinical experience or equivalent.
  • Registration with relevant health practitioner agencies (e.g., Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Specialist training or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field are desirable.
