Accounts Receivable Leadership Opportunity

The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process.

This role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow, strengthening client relationships, and improving the organisation's working capital position. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the timely and accurate invoicing and reconciliation of customer accounts, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to support prompt collections, monitor aged debt and implement effective collection strategies, work closely with internal departments to resolve billing issues, manage credit risk by assessing customer creditworthiness and setting credit limits, prepare regular AR and cash flow reports for senior management, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to support prompt collections.
  • Monitor aged debt and implement effective collection strategies.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve billing issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable Manager or Senior AR role, ideally within a fast-paced or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, MYOB, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
