Job Opportunity: Food Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Food Technologist to join our team in South Australia. As a leading cheese manufacturer, we aim to produce authentic Italian-style cheeses and are looking for someone who can contribute to the innovation and improvement of our products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough food experiments to determine chemical composition and reactive properties.
  • Develop new and innovative food products that meet high quality standards.
  • Determine pricing strategies for our products based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Oversee the development of packaging and marketing materials for our food products.
  • Evaluate the nutritional content, colour, flavour and texture of food products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Provide expert advice on food preservation, packaging and storage methods to maintain product quality.
  • Coordinate food production processes and direct a team of workers to develop new food products.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in food technology or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in food technology, preferably with a strong background in research and development.
  • Able to develop and monitor food property processes and production systems.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
