Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding, relational, and innovative leader to join the music team as Curriculum Director of Music Programs. In this role, you will contribute to curriculum implementation, drive high-level learning outcomes, and foster quality pedagogy within the Instrumental Music (IM) Program.

The primary focus will be on supporting IM teachers in curriculum implementation and delivery, ensuring quality assurance processes related to the IM QCE, and driving recruitment and retention efforts to create an inclusive IM program. You will also contribute to twice-yearly moderation and offer support to teachers across primary and high school levels.

About The Role

This leadership position is responsible for building teacher capacity, modeling best practices, and optimizing learning outcomes. Your key areas of focus include:

  • Leading curriculum development and implementation
  • Ensuring quality assurance and standards
  • Driving recruitment and retention strategies
  • Moderating and supporting teachers
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong educational background with a focus on music education
  • Experience in delivering the Queensland Instrumental Music Curriculum or a willingness to acquire the relevant knowledge
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with teachers and stakeholders
