About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our residential youth care team as a Residential Care Worker.

This dynamic role involves directly impacting young lives by responding to their emotional and functional needs, guiding them through personal growth, ensuring safety and well-being, and taking charge of administrative duties to create a warm and supportive household atmosphere.

  • Cooking and cleaning
  • Supporting with homework, appointments, and school runs

This active night position requires being awake from 10pm to 7am, where you will be there every step of the way, helping these young individuals thrive.

Key Selection Criteria
  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications)
  • A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing
  • Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open-minded and nonjudgmental manner
  • Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency
