This role is a prime opportunity to drive and execute key procurement initiatives for a top-tier mining business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide data analysis and reporting requirements through Power BI, Pronto Thin Client (ERP System), and Microsoft Excel to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and assess opportunities for improved relationships with existing suppliers and service providers.
- Act as a senior member of the procurement function, engaging across the business.
- Comprehensively review and benchmark current and potential suppliers to identify cost savings and ensure the company is procuring the best available value for money goods and services.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes using industry best practices and tools.
- Build high-quality relationships with internal stakeholders and end users, collaborating and supporting by understanding their requirements and providing guidance on buying and procurement decisions.
- Analysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks, and procurement activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track, assess, and report on contract milestones, performance metrics, outcomes, and general contract management tasks.
- Undertake sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Strong background in leading procurement processes through effective management and/or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value for money.
- A demonstrative consultative approach to managing and driving tangible change.
- Proven experience in a mining environment preferably with a contractor background.
- Strong exposure to ERP Pronto EDI Electronic Data Interface and PowerBI.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage various tasks.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a range of suppliers and stakeholders.
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in an environment with multiple stakeholders internal and external.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and experienced procurement professional with a strong background in leading procurement processes. They will have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and building high-quality relationships with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Furthermore they will have a deep understanding of procurement principles and practices with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive business results.
