Job Title: Community Support Worker

Comprehensive Care Services is a dynamic and supportive organisation that provides tailored in-home support and care for individuals with diverse needs.

Our comprehensive care services encompass personal care, domestic tasks, food preparation, medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, and transportation to medical appointments and social outings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, including assistance with showering and bathing.
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for our clients.
  • Administer medications according to client needs.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living.
  • Transport clients to and from medical appointments and social outings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of delivering care in a person-centred way.
  • Availability and reliability.
  • Ability to speak another language is highly desirable.
  • Certificate III or above in disability, aged care, community care, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment.
  • Experience working with people who require palliative care.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to keep strictly to the program and routine.
  • Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret service information.
  • Appropriate visa to work in Australia.
  • Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
  • Working with Children Check (WCCC).
  • NDISWC (NDIS worker check).
  • Smart phone with the ability to install apps.
  • 6 months minimum experience delivering personal care.
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate.
  • Drivers licence and own fully insured transport.
  • Current knowledge of NSW Government vaccine requirements for essential workers.
  • Empathetic and understanding approach to providing care to people with complex needs.
