Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team on a casual basis. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses, preparing and handling chemicals, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses, including preparation and handling of chemicals
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and cleaning
- Organise daily work to optimise efficiency and meet turnaround requirements
- Assist with ad-hoc sampling, sample receipt, and housekeeping tasks
- Manual handling up to 15kg
- One year's relevant experience (a degree or diploma preferred)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level attention to detail
- Good chemical knowledge
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team
- Ability to plan and organise work
- Ability to complete manual handling tasks
- Judgement and problem-solving skills
- Client service focus
- Positive attitude to safety requirements
- Appropriate level of aptitude on the tests allocated
