ALS Water operates a modern laboratory in Scoresby, equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a casual opportunity for a Laboratory Technician with chemistry credentials to join our client-focused team in a Tuesday-Saturday shift role, 10am - 6pm.
Key Responsibilities

* Manual handling up to 15 kgs - trays
* Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples
* Completing tasks accurately, within set timeframes
* Organising daily work to optimise efficiency and meet turnaround requirements.
* Maintaining equipment, including calibration and cleaning.
* Contributing to a clean, tidy and organised lab environment.
* Assisting with Ad-hoc sampling. sample receipt and house-keeping tasks.
* Manual handling up to 15kg.
Requirements
------------
* One year's relevant experience (a degree or diploma preferred).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level attention to detail.
* Good chemical knowledge.
* Ability to work autonomously or in a team.
* Ability to plan and organise work.
* Ability to complete manual handling tasks.
* Judgement and problem-solving skills.
* Client service focus.
* Positive attitude to safety requirements.
* Appropriate level of aptitude on the tests allocated.
