Crew Controller Role

At the heart of every successful airline is a well-functioning operations control team. As a Crew Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our flights depart and arrive on schedule, with the right crew in place.

The Crew Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight crew management, from rostering and scheduling to addressing disruptions and resolving operational issues. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage crew pairings and rosters to ensure optimal resource allocation and minimize disruption
  • Develop and implement effective recovery plans to mitigate the impact of disruptions on schedules and operations
  • Solve complex operational problems and provide timely solutions to crew members and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Operations Control and other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and safety
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an operations control environment or related aviation field
  • Strong knowledge of fatigue risk management principles and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise reports and messages
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Bonus points for experience with airline operations and crew management systems
