Job Opportunity:

Mathematics Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Educator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to students in a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics to students across various year levels, designing engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to measure student progress and understanding.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and developments in the field of mathematics education, incorporating best practices into your teaching approach.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver integrated units of work that promote cross-curricular connections and student engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers about student progress, providing regular feedback and suggestions for ongoing support.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to mathematics education, ensuring alignment with Diocesan standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge, including workshops, conferences, and online courses.
  • Engage in reflective practice, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Diocesan policies, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Education or a related field, with a strong focus on mathematics education.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to teach mathematics across various year levels, with experience in curriculum design and delivery.
  • Be accredited by NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority) and hold current Working With Children Check clearance.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to the school community.

Classification Requirements:

Applicants wishing to work in any of the schools within the Diocese must be classified with the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD).
