Job Description

As a dedicated leader in healthcare, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations at Footscray Hospital. This role requires strong supervision and mentoring skills to lead a team of cleaning professionals in maintaining high hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare setting. They must be able to effectively allocate tasks, manage rosters, and coordinate daily operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise cleaning teams across daily and periodic tasks.
  • Allocate staff duties and manage rosters to ensure service coverage.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Support infection control procedures and specialised cleaning in high-risk areas.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new and existing staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent leadership and communication skills. You should also have experience managing inventory and waste reduction practices, as well as being competent in managing rosters and coordinating daily operations.

The following qualifications are essential:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role, ideally in healthcare.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse cleaning team.
  • Experience managing rosters and coordinating daily operations.
  • Competent in managing inventory and waste reduction practices.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
