Sustainability Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a Sustainability Professional to ensure our site meets environmental and rehabilitation obligations, complying with State and Commonwealth approvals and legislation.

  • Coordinate and manage compliance with company legislative and statutory requirements and environmental management plans.
  • Provide professional environmental advice to mine site personnel to ensure effective transition from construction to operations.
  • Coordinate planning and supervise execution of all site-clearing and rehabilitation.
  • Engage and coordinate external consultants for environmental surveys and monitoring.
  • Assist development, implementation, and maintenance of the workplace Environmental Management system.
  • Report to government and internal stakeholders to meet company requirements.
  • Deliver environment training and awareness programs.
  • Coordinate internal audits and environmental incident investigations.

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or similar qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance and execution of environmental management plans.
  • Understanding of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legislation and management plans.
  • A strong commitment to safety, health, environment, people, community, and workplace diversity.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
