About the Pipeline Engineer Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced pipeline engineer to lead long-term asset integrity planning across a large upstream network in QLD.

This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to mentor others while driving safety, compliance, and reliability.

Suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about safe, inclusive, and sustainable engineering practices.

  • Develop and implement long-term pipeline integrity programs aligned with AS2885 standards to ensure optimal performance and minimize risks.
  • Conduct thorough fitness-for-service evaluations, defect assessments, and SMS reviews to inform maintenance plans and optimize inspection strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain comprehensive integrity frameworks that drive safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) input across pipeline projects, procurement, and vendor engagement to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Support incident investigations, emergency response planning, and remediation efforts to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in pipeline engineering with a passion for infrastructure integrity and a commitment to safe and sustainable practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of pipeline systems and the ability to contribute to a team culture that values collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • A relevant degree in a pipeline-related engineering discipline and significant experience in engineering roles, ideally in pipeline or asset integrity.
  • RPEQ certification (or eligibility to obtain) and a strong understanding of AS2885 and related standards.
