About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Lead Civil Engineer – Third Party Works, as the Senior Civil and Pipeline Engineer you'll be the go-to expert for civil and pipeline engineering work. Your will work with internal and external project teams undertaking work on or near Seqwater infrastructure to ensure the work is technically sound, compliant, and fit for purpose and will not impact Seqwaters infrastructure or its ongoing operation, maintenance or future augmentation.

You'll lead the development and maintenance of engineering standards that support the safe and efficient lifecycle of infrastructure, while protecting assets from external impacts. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll drive assurance activities—such as design and risk reviews—and lead strategic programs and investigations that enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and troubleshooting to ensure Seqwater's civil and pipeline infrastructure is safe, reliable, and compliant.
• Review internal and third-party projects, setting engineering conditions to protect Seqwater assets and ensure fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures that support efficient, safe, and compliant infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Act as RPEQ subject matter expert, endorsing engineering decisions, technical changes, and risk assessments aligned with best practice.
• Lead investigations and improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure performance, safety, and efficiency through audits and technical studies.
  
  

This role will be part of team that works from various office locations, including Ipswich, Brisbane CBD office, and other Seqwater work locations across South East Queensland

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Hold a tertiary engineering degree suitable for RPEQ registration (Washington Accord accredited or equivalent).
• Currently registered as RPEQ or able to obtain registration within 3 months via recognised pathways.
• Extensive experience delivering civil and pipeline engineering solutions for large infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of design, construction, and maintenance of bulk water assets including mains, pump stations, and reservoirs.
• Skilled in managing engineering risks through Safety in Design, HAZID, CHAIR, and other technical hazard reviews.
  
  

This position has a salary range of $149,648.11 – 162,324.62 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
