About the Role

DGH Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Senior Fabrication Team Leader to join our Mackay workshop team. This permanent role will allow you to lead our team to deliver quality products and services to our valued clients across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive efficiency within the team to meet deadlines and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure employees comply with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) responsibilities and maintain a safety-first culture within the workshop.
  • Liaise with supervisors and management as required and become a valued team member.
  • Maintain quality control standards for all work completed in the workshop.
  • Coach and develop apprentices and tradesmen to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Trade certificate in Fabrication or a related field.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Previous workshop experience and a strong understanding of fabrication processes.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
  • 5 years post-trade experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified business.
  • Forklift license and ability to work night shifts when required.
