About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Legal Assistant to join our team at Burgess Paluch Legal Recruitment. As a key member of our Plaintiff litigation law firm, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers and play a critical role in the success of our clients' matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all administrative aspects of client files, including document preparation and organization
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, lawyers, and barristers to ensure seamless communication and case progression
  • Arrange appointments and manage diaries to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Obtain and review medical, financial, and claim records to support case development
  • Coordinate conferences and mediations to facilitate resolution and settlement
  • Prepare and draft court documents, briefs, and trial materials to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar personal injury or litigation legal assistant/secretary role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • IT savvy with good technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
