We are seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee various projects across Melbourne, including the East, South East, and Peninsula regions.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in commercial painting.
  2. A minimum of 2 years in project management within the commercial painting sector.
  3. Proven experience in leading a team of 15 or more across multiple job sites.
  4. Possession of a White Card.
  5. Fluent communication skills in English.
  6. A valid Australian driver's license and access to a vehicle capable of transporting equipment such as ladders and spray guns.
  7. Willingness to travel for regional projects.
Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Overseeing commercial painting projects in Melbourne and the South East, with occasional travel for regional assignments.
  2. Coordinating labor and material resources across 5 to 10 job sites concurrently.
  3. Collaborating with builders and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  4. Interpreting project plans and specifications related to painting tasks.
  5. Monitoring the performance and quality of work by all team members.
  6. Identifying and securing approvals for any changes to the project scope.
  7. Providing necessary training to staff members.
  8. Ensuring compliance with building regulations and maintaining high standards of performance, quality, cost, and safety.
  9. When necessary, actively participating in hands-on work to address project needs or resolve issues, including surface preparation and paint application.
Additional Information

Other relevant details include:

  1. A trial period of 6 months.
  2. A performance bonus of 10% for projects completed within budget.
  3. Requirement to obtain a Working With Children Check.
  4. Preferred possession of an Elevated Work Platform license.
