  • A visionary and outcome-focused leader is needed to spearhead a multi-year initiative as Director Program Delivery, modernising core digital tax systems and delivering additional compliance revenue.
  • This high-impact role will oversee the transformation of digital infrastructure and compliance functions across Stamp Duty and Land Tax, enhancing customer experience and strengthening governance.

About the Role

As Director Program Delivery, you will:

  1. Spearhead Transformation: Steer the delivery of a multi-year transformation aligned with government priorities and compliance revenue targets.
  2. Implement Digital Systems: Oversee the implementation of new digital systems and business processes that support real-time compliance.
  3. Establish Governance Frameworks: Establish robust governance, reporting, and performance frameworks.
  4. Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team, including 5 direct reports.
  5. Engage Stakeholders: Engage with key internal and external stakeholders for continued support, transparency, alignment, and delivery confidence.

Requirements

You are a collaborative and outcomes-focused leader with:

  • Extensive Experience: Extensive experience in delivering large-scale programs in government or regulatory environments.
  • Compliance Expertise: Proven experience running a compliance function in taxation or revenue contexts.
  • Digital Transformation Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation, and business process redesign.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated success managing large teams and delivering measurable benefits.
  • Project Governance: Expertise in project governance, risk management, and benefits realisation.
  • Taxation Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of State Taxes.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Matrixed Environments: Experience working in matrixed environments.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with project methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
