Job Title: Learning & Development Manager - Sustaining Submarine Capabilities

ASC's submarine sustainment workforce is seeking a strategic leader to develop and execute a national learning strategy. Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, you'll drive technical training and capability development initiatives to support Australia's future nuclear-powered submarine capability.

About the Role:

This role will see you leading the development and implementation of the SSN Sustainment Learning Strategy and 'Train in Australia Plan'. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering onboarding, technical, and compliance training programs for the SSN Sustainment workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the SSN Sustainment Learning Strategy and 'Train in Australia Plan'Design and deliver onboarding, technical, and compliance training programs for the SSN Sustainment workforceAct as ASC's lead for all technical learning activities related to SSN SustainmentLead the development of the WA Learning Facility in collaboration with infrastructure and program teamsDeliver internal and external briefings and workshops to keep stakeholders informedProvide leadership to the SSN Sustainment L&D teamManage L&D actions to support capability building and Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) outcomes

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning, HR, Business or extensive L&D leadership experience
  • Project management certification or experience highly desirable
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex environments, ideally with technical training delivery
  • Proven ability to align strategy with organisational goals and execute effectively
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited supervision

Eligibility:

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level.
