We are seeking to expand our mobile maintenance team at a thermal coal mine.

The mine produces high quality coal for both the export and domestic markets using a fleet of heavy machinery including trucks, excavators, graders and dozers.

About the Role:

This High Voltage Electrician role involves inspection, servicing, diagnostic, fault finding and defect elimination and repairs of mobile equipment and electrical infrastructure.

Applicants should have an electrical trade qualification or equivalent and experience working as a HV electrician in the mining industry.

About You:
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a HV Electrician on heavy earth-moving equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working with large mobile fleets, particularly on CAT / Terex MT4400 electric drive trucks.
  • High Voltage switching competencies and PLC and SCADA Control system experience are highly valued.
  • You will also need current LVR/CPR competency and ability to read and interpret Electrical Schematics.
  • An understanding of conducting safety inspections, completing JSEAs, risk assessments and permits is essential.
  • Defect inspections and SAP work management systems experience are also desirable.
  • Fully committed to workplace safety procedures and disciplines.
  • A valid drivers licence (manual and HR) would be advantageous.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
