About the Role:- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies to identify issues and determine the best course of action.
- Repair or replace defective parts using service manuals and OEM specifications, with attention to detail and quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, coolant checks, and basic tune-ups, to meet emissions standards and enhance vehicle reliability.
- Reassemble engines and components after repairs, following manufacturer guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
- Test and adjust mechanical systems post-repair to verify correct operation and reliability, documenting findings and areas for improvement.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and test vehicle components effectively, streamlining the repair process.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, prepare detailed reports on required repairs, and issue roadworthy certificates where applicable.
- Provide on-site mechanical support as needed, responding promptly to breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Carry out complex fault diagnosis and repair
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Identify and implement improvements to repair processes
