Job Title: Garage Manager
Fleet Maintenance Leadership OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our maintenance and repair services for public transport fleet. As a Garage Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong and proactive leadership to deliver a range of maintenance and repair services.
- This includes operating a safe, efficient, strategic, and cost-effective garage through active planning, control, and optimisation of garage resources and activities.
- You will also report to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager and take ownership of your garage to ensure the core business of fleet maintenance is delivered.
- Leading, guiding, and developing a team of heavy vehicle mechanics, auto electricians, coach builders, bus assistants, and trade apprentices.
- Partnering with various stakeholders to drive safety, continuous improvements, and future business efficiencies.
- Experience in applying relevant legislative, safety, and maintenance standards in a fleet maintenance environment.
- Evidence of capabilities in leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong values-based leadership skills with ability to mentor and guide a diverse team.
- A C class licence is essential for this role.
