Role Overview

The subject matter expert is a pivotal position within the education sector, serving diverse learning needs across various regions.

This role supports educators in effectively supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Advocate for Catholic principles and values in all professional accountabilities.
  • Consult with educators and provide advice on relevant teaching strategies.
  • Provide guidance on individual and group intervention, assisting educators with adjustments.
  • Collaborate with learning support personnel to address student needs.
  • Deliver professional development for educators and paraprofessionals.
  • Ensure compliance with student support program requirements.
  • Offer case management support and assistance to other agencies.
  • Work constructively as part of the mission and learning team.
  • Engage in action research to support organizational directions.
  • Support schools in analyzing system and school data related to diverse learning needs.
  • Prepare reports on the progress of students with diverse learning needs.
  • Attend to any other matters appropriate for the position.
