Forensic Psychologist Role

 

The role of Forensic Psychologist is pivotal in reducing reoffending and making the community safer. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will be part of driving the future of forensic intervention in Victoria.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews to determine treatment pathways, and evidence-based treatment interventions. You will work closely with senior clinical staff and have opportunities for professional development.

As a successful candidate, you must possess expertise in delivering best-practice forensic intervention in correctional environments. The ideal candidate will hold registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and possess a current driver's license.

A critical aspect of this role is preparing treatment plans, reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders. This requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Current driver's license
  • Expertise in delivering best-practice forensic intervention in correctional environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
