About the Project:

Sydney Gateway is a major infrastructure project designed to improve road capacity at Sydney airport and enhance traffic links to Port Botany and St Peter's interchange.

The project includes the construction of 5 kilometres of new road, 16 bridges, and close to 3 kilometres of active transport links.

The benefits of the project include increased road capacity at Sydney airport, both domestic and international airports. It also assists traffic links to Port Botany and St Peter's interchange.

Two stages are involved in this project: Stage 1, which includes an international terminal and Qantas Drive connection, and Stage 3, which involves an arterial road connection and flyover to Sydney Airport's Domestic Terminals.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Coordinator to provide support to the project team in meeting its sustainability requirements by ensuring that the project delivers sustainable outcomes that add value to our customers and meets its contractual obligations.

  • This role will involve providing advice and guidance to design, construction, commercial, operational, and other key project teams on sustainability matters.
  • You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring progress of sustainability rating tool submissions.
  • Additionally, you will compile and monitor against project sustainability reporting requirements.
  • An essential part of this role is delivering sustainability training for relevant project personnel and contractors.
  • Another critical responsibility is supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing management of project environmental & sustainability management systems.
  • Liaising with government bodies and professional organisations on sustainability matters as required is also an integral part of this position.
