About The Opportunity

Join a dynamic team in the underground technical department to contribute to the optimisation, monitoring and ongoing development of our paste fill system. You will work alongside experienced engineers, operators and leaders who have helped bring this facility online.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mine backfill systems integrating geological, geotechnical and environmental considerations.
  • Select appropriate backfill materials and conduct tests to meet engineering specifications and compatibility with underground methods.
  • Oversee the installation and operation of backfill systems, monitor performance and implement improvements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation measures and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
">About You

We are open to a range of backgrounds and experience levels. If you have worked in paste plant operations, backfill system design or underground mining with exposure to CRF or paste fill systems, we want to hear from you.

">Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing backfill systems in underground mining operations is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of mine backfill engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
