Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Hoxton Park Depot. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing timely repairs, following service schedules, conducting fleet inspections, and handling on-road breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely repairs to ensure buses are road-ready and drivers have a reliable vehicle.
  • Follow service schedules to manage minor and major services and vehicle inspections.
  • Conduct fleet inspections to ensure our fleet meets RMS compliance and is ready for passenger use.
  • Handle on-road breakdowns, fixing issues from damaged mirrors to brake problems.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrated work experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
  • Qualifications: Relevant trade qualifications (MVIRA).
  • Licenses: MR or HR driver's license, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Safety First: Adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Inspection Skills: Ability to complete pre-inspections for RMS compliance.
