About the Role

Thiess is seeking skilled professionals to join their team as Diesel Fitters for various NSW sites, including the Muswellbrook Coal Mine Rehabilitation Project, Mt Arthur South, Mt Pleasant, and Mt Thorley Workshop.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of large-scale mobile mining equipment, including CAT trucks and dozers, graders, and other ancillary equipment.
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Conducting regular inspections to maximize equipment utilization.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter.
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
  • Able to obtain a relevant Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment is preferred.
