About the Role
Thiess is seeking skilled professionals to fill Diesel Fitter positions across various sites in New South Wales. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and repairing large-scale mobile mining equipment, including CAT trucks and dozers, graders, and other ancillary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of mobile mining equipment in accordance with Thiess' documentation and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and optimize equipment utilization.
- Source technical information from relevant manuals, bulletins, and OEM systems to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent role in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
- Post-trade qualifications and relevant certifications, such as a Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW.
- Experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
