Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead our Housekeeping Team as a Housekeeping Supervisor.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and take on new challenges. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Your primary objective will be to motivate and manage your team to achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. You will be accountable for preparing morning reports, coordinating work activities, conducting daily departmental meetings, and providing accurate handovers between shifts.

You will also be responsible for assisting the Head of Department with productivity, motivation, and development of line Team Members within the Housekeeping Department. This includes recruiting, selecting, and training new staff members, as well as implementing strategies to increase productivity and morale within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare morning reports showing occupied, vacant, check outs, and out of order rooms for the Housekeeping Department
  • Assist the Head of Department with productivity, motivation, and development of line Team Members
  • Coordinate all work activities on a shift-to-shift basis, ensuring all department procedures are followed and daily tasks are completed according to company standards
  • Conduct daily departmental meetings to brief Team Members on activities and discuss any issues relevant to the shift
  • Provide a complete and accurate handover between shifts, communicating any requirements for subsequent shifts
  • Recruit, select, and train new staff members
  • Implement strategies to increase productivity and morale within the department
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional leadership skills with previous experience in Housekeeping management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • A quick thinker, able to think on the spot to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Excellent grooming and presentation skills
  • A person who is not only a leader but also a team player, willing to get hands-on to see their team succeed
Benefits:

$68,864 - $75,000 based on working days and penalties applicable as per the Hospitality Industry General Award
