Earthquake Hazard Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Earthquake Hazard Specialist to join our global team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct seismic hazard assessments, including ground motions, fault rupture hazard, liquefaction, tsunamis, and ground deformation.
  • Perform probabilistic and deterministic seismic hazard analyses.
  • Assess active/neotectonics faults, paleo-seismicity, and fault displacement.
  • Engage in site response analyses and liquefaction risk evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Seismology, Earthquake Geology, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in seismic hazard and risk assessments, preferably with expertise in Open Quake software.
  • Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and scripting languages.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience working across infrastructure sectors is desirable, with excellent management and client interface skills.

To succeed in this role, you should have a deep understanding of earthquake hazards and risk assessment techniques. A strong background in geology, physics, or engineering is essential.
