Cancer Treatment Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Cancer Treatment Specialist to join our dynamic team at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer, Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne. This role plays a vital part in providing essential radiation therapy services to patients with cancer.

About Our Services:

Austin Health operates two Radiotherapy Centres, one located at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer, Wellness and Research Centre and the other in Ballarat. Our centres provide comprehensive cancer services coupled with wellness programs, ensuring patients receive holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering radiation therapy for patients, monitoring and assessing their condition, administering radiation therapy processes and procedures.
  • Contributing to daily service delivery, working closely with a dynamic team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent technical, interpersonal, and team skills, as well as effective communication skills. You will also need to be committed to continuing professional development and embracing change and innovation.

You Will Need:

  • Pending or provisional AHPRA registration.
  • Victorian Radiation User Licence.
  • Demonstrated skills and expertise in RT planning on the Elekta Monaco platform and/or treatment delivery on Elekta linacs.
