Job Title: Data Governance Manager

Are you a data governance professional looking to make a difference in a dynamic and innovative environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Manager to lead our data governance strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing frameworks that support innovation while ensuring ethical standards and privacy protections.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and maintaining AI and data governance frameworks
  • SUPPORTING management of key data assets, ensuring quality and integrity
  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to data privacy and AI use
  • Partnering with teams to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture and contributing to training programs
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data privacy, governance, or technology risk
  • A practical understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and APPs
  • Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments
  • Knowledge of data management principles, including quality and lifecycle management
  • Understanding of AI concepts and associated privacy challenges
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Desirable Skills & Experience:

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in media, entertainment, advertising, or technology sectors. Familiarity with data governance roles and cloud platforms like Google Cloud is also desirable.
