Key Responsibilities

  • You will deliver departmental strategy for allocated MRO categories, as developed by the Inventory & Procurement Manager.
  • You will manage the full procurement lifecycle in alignment with category, portfolio, capital, and business plans.
  • You will drive competitive advantage through innovative sourcing, demand management, and technical assessment.
  • You will ensure compliance with policies.
  • You will engage with the market and internal stakeholders to balance commercial and operational outcomes.
  • You will have a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

The Technical Buyer plays a key role in delivering value through strategic sourcing and supplier engagement. They are responsible for the end-to-end procurement of spares and services that support departmental maintenance strategies. This involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement outcomes.

The Technical Buyer will develop and implement departmental strategy for allocated MRO categories, managing the full procurement lifecycle in alignment with category, portfolio, capital, and business plans.
