Job Overview

Lead Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our consulting group, you will contribute to the overall design capability and lead the detailed engineering design of projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on a leadership role and drive the success of our electrical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct engineering staff and designers in project design.
  • Identify opportunities, propose and win project work, and oversee execution and delivery.
  • Review design deliverables, including cable schedules and equipment lists.
  • Specifying electrical equipment and materials, and procuring them.
  • Scope electrical manufacturer and installation works, and provide support and direction to contractors.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • Project design experience in mining or minerals processing applications.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to formulate and manage project targets and budgets.
  • Effective communication with electrical engineering team and stakeholders.
  • Background in designing Motor Control Centres and instrumentation specification.
  • Ability to instruct and manage designers/draftspeople.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity.
  • A willingness to perform site work and commissioning.
