Livestock Career Development Program

The Livestock Career Development Program is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the livestock industry. This 24-month program is designed to provide participants with valuable experience and training in all aspects of the livestock activity, culminating in a Certificate in Livestock Marketing.

As part of this program, participants will have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, under the guidance of experienced livestock employees and leaders. They will gain hands-on experience in effective selling and relationship building techniques, as well as develop their business skills through accelerated learning opportunities.

Requirements

To be considered for this program, applicants must possess a strong desire to learn and succeed in the livestock industry. They should have excellent customer service skills, strong negotiation abilities, and be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program. Additionally, they must demonstrate:

  • Successful completion of Year 12
  • Minimum 24 months of successful work experience within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident
  • Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
