Livestock Career Development Program">

Gain valuable experience in all aspects of the livestock activity and develop a career as a future leader or technical expert.

The program is designed for top talent who are passionate about agriculture and have excellent customer service skills and strong negotiation abilities. You will be involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on-the-ground training, and have mentors assigned to you to provide ongoing support.

You'll have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by our experienced livestock employees and leaders, learning effective selling and relationship building techniques.

  • Business skills: compliance, sales, client relationship building, communication, marketing, and social media, understanding finance, problem-solving, and negotiation
  • Livestock skills: next-generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical, and market requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

Successful applicants will have:

  • A strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong negotiation abilities
  • Completed Year 12
  • Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
  • Be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident
  • Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn, strong communication, and problem-solving skills and leadership potential
  • Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
