Job Title: Head of Secondary Studies

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Head of Secondary Studies at Warren Central School. As a key member of our school leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and driving academic excellence.

About the Role

The Head of Secondary Studies will be responsible for leading and managing the secondary school curriculum, ensuring that it is aligned with the school's strategic priorities and meets the needs of our students. You will work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs that promote student engagement and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the secondary school curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic priorities and state curriculum requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers and staff to improve teaching and learning practices, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and the community to promote the school's values and mission.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven leadership and management experience in a secondary school setting.Strong knowledge of the NSW curriculum and assessment requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with teachers, staff, parents, and the community.Ability to lead and manage change, with a focus on improving teaching and learning practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these.What We Offer
