About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the design, development, and testing of COTS/MOTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electronic/electrical or electro-mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test COTS/MOTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electronic/electrical or electro-mechanical components
  • Coordinate with ICT, systems, and test engineers to deliver an integrated product
  • Manage the design and installation of hardware components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters
  • Develop and coordinate project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met
  • Define specifications, evaluate vendors, and prepare and analyze test reports
  • Define business improvement initiatives with respect to the Hardware and related Engineering Disciplines
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electronics and communications. You will have a strong understanding of the system/subsystem engineering lifecycle as it relates to Hardware Engineering using standard methods and techniques/tools.

You will have significant experience in creating engineering documentation, including technical drawings, and be able to define specifications, evaluate vendors, and prepare and analyze test reports.

Experience in leading small engineering teams, HF radar and communications systems, RF design, antenna design and array analysis/synthesis, FPGA and embedded systems, signal processing and algorithm development, analogue design, high-speed digital design, EMC, E3, and signature modeling, and schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout would be highly regarded.
