Team Overview:The Advisory Division at QTC plays a pivotal role in fostering financial sustainability and operational excellence across diverse government sectors in Queensland. We are dedicated to empowering our clients to achieve their objectives and create a lasting impact.
The Government Owned Corporations (GOCs) portfolio within our Advisory Division focuses on critical sectors such as energy, transport, water, and central treasury management.
This Senior Associate position within the Water team entails conducting comprehensive business, financial, and credit analyses at the entity level to support funding decisions, alongside program and project-level financial and commercial evaluations to guide investment choices.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive Senior Associate to contribute to the GOCs portfolio – Water team, part of QTC's expanding Advisory Division in Brisbane on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and insights on strategic, financial, and commercial matters pertaining to the water sector for public sector clients.
- Conduct thorough research to remain updated on the latest trends and developments in the water industry, sharing valuable insights with clients and colleagues.
- Perform financial, economic, industry, and statistical modeling and analysis to uncover key insights and strategies for problem-solving and opportunity advancement.
- Deliver clear, concise written and verbal communications tailored to meet client needs.
- Foster trustworthy and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Support the growth initiatives of the GOCs portfolio and the broader Advisory Division.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in corporate finance, infrastructure project evaluation, or financial/data modeling. This role is suitable for individuals with backgrounds in accounting, advisory, or banking who are eager to make a significant impact in the water sector.
Required Experience and Skills:- Expertise in corporate finance, infrastructure project evaluation, or financial/data modeling.
- Proficient in conducting financial analyses and producing high-quality reports and presentations.
- Experienced in engaging and managing relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving abilities for complex scenarios.
