Senior Piping Designer Role at Wood Plc

We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory as part of our Operations APAC West business.

As a key member of the Wood core design team, you will be responsible for designing brownfields oil & gas projects while taking ownership of project deliverables. Reporting directly to the Piping Design Manager, you will work closely with our team to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity involves working as a piping designer on various brownfields oil & gas projects. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing piping systems and equipment
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Taking ownership of project deliverables and ensuring timely completion

In addition to your technical expertise, we are looking for someone who can effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders, provide problem-solving support, and demonstrate attention to detail.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Drafting
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in piping design within the oil and gas industry
  • A solid understanding of discipline technology and other discipline requirements
  • Competency in E3D & S3D CAD systems
Benefits and Remuneration

This position offers a highly competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave, and employee discount programs.

The ideal candidate will be located in Darwin or willing to relocate to the city. Only candidates with full work rights for the Australian location will be considered.
