This role requires a skilled and experienced individual who can work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement effective community development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement projects that promote social inclusion and support the well-being of young individuals;
  • Collaborate with local schools, community service providers, and Government and non-Government organisations to deliver quality services to youth;
  • Ensure project responsiveness to community needs through active engagement and consultation with stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree qualifications in community development, social sciences, social work and/or relevant experience in a comparative role;
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement, including the ability to build and maintain relationships, foster networks, and support partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in applying project management principles and the practical application of these to effect project outcomes;
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children, young people and families in a case management setting, including information, advice, referral; intake and assessment; and family capacity building;
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating meetings and/or preparing and delivering training content to a diverse audience.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of community development principles and practices is essential.
