We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a specialization in mental health inpatient care to join our team. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mental health inpatients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
- Monitor and manage patient behavior, providing therapeutic interventions and support.
- Collaborate with the mental health team to develop and execute individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document patient progress accurately.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients, addressing any immediate concerns or crises.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Experience or qualification in mental health inpatient care.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and patient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing a range of mental health issues.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Strong observational and assessment skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
- AHPRA Registration (must be current)
