We are seeking an experienced Fire Management Specialist to lead our district's bushfire mitigation efforts.
- This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating district-wide mitigation strategies, managing the Fire Warden network, and implementing effective fire prevention measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive bushfire risk management plans.
- Lead and manage a team of Fire Wardens and other stakeholders to achieve district-wide goals.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to build robust bushfire mitigation networks in the community.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on bushfire risk assessment, mitigation, and education programs.
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures related to bushfire management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fire management, emergency services, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Current knowledge of bushfire risk management principles and practices.
