Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Management Specialist to lead our district's bushfire mitigation efforts.

  • This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating district-wide mitigation strategies, managing the Fire Warden network, and implementing effective fire prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive bushfire risk management plans.
  • Lead and manage a team of Fire Wardens and other stakeholders to achieve district-wide goals.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to build robust bushfire mitigation networks in the community.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on bushfire risk assessment, mitigation, and education programs.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures related to bushfire management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fire management, emergency services, or a related field.
