Key Responsibilities:- Assist in food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate stock rotation and minimize wastage, implementing effective stock control procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Collaborate with chefs to ensure all food produced meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Verify that all food is stored and handled correctly, adhering to current food health and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements, advising the supervisor in advance.
- Support and liaise with the chef on duty as needed.
- Commercial Cookery Qualification – Cert III or IV is preferred.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry.
- Familiarity with Food Safety and WHS legislation.
- Service-oriented with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
