**Job Title:** Financial Management Professional

Job Description:

The organization is seeking a skilled Financial Management Professional to fill a temporary role. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting package, maintaining accuracy in transaction postings and GST codes, processing accounts payable and receivable invoicing, ensuring accurate reconciliations and reporting of corporate credit cards, and managing supplier and customer data.

  • Operate the accounting package (Xero) and maintain accuracy in transaction postings and GST codes
  • Process general accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing, including personal expense reimbursements
  • Ensure accurate reconciliations and reporting of corporate credit cards
  • Manage the setup and integrity of supplier and customer data
  • Control and manage bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and post month-end journals as directed
  • Maintain accurate databases for government grants, sundry income contracts, and event income
  • Support the Management Accountant during end-of-year audits
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and budget monitoring
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial management, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Xero and MS Excel, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. The ability to think strategically and see beyond the numbers is also essential.
