Lead Power BI Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Power BI Engineer to join our team at N-iX, a leading software development company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and reliable operation of our sales teams, with a focus on supporting our company's digital transformation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of BI Software Engineers and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Business Alignment: Align with multiple business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Business Intelligence Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Present information through reports and visualization to stakeholders, ensuring that data is presented in a clear and concise manner.
  • Technical Requirements: Translate business needs into technical requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • BI Solution Development: Design, build, and deploy BI solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Data Analytics Platforms: Maintain and support data analytics platforms to ensure that data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure that solutions meet the required standards.
  • BI Offerings: Evaluate and improve existing BI offerings to ensure that they meet the needs of the business.
  • Database Queries and Analysis: Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses to provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Visualizations and Reports: Create visualizations and reports for requested projects to provide actionable insights.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and update technical documentation to ensure that solutions are well-documented and easily understood.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 8+ years of proven experience as a BI Engineer and 2+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Power BI, MS SQL Server, and in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL framework.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude and knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server.
Desirable Skills:
  • Custom Power BI Visuals: Experience in creating custom Power BI visuals.
  • UX Experience: Experience in UX design.
  • SSRS and/or Tableau: Experience with SSRS and/or Tableau.
  • Azure DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps.
