About the Role

As a Disability Employment Services Employment Consultant at APM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants (job seekers) to transform their lives. Reporting to the Business Manager at our office, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and our participants, to deliver tailored employment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and Secure Employment Opportunities: Work with local employers to identify job opportunities that match the skills and abilities of our participants.
  2. Support Participants to Become Job Ready: Help our participants identify their skills and develop a plan to become job ready.
  3. Deliver Quality Service: Ensure that all services are delivered to a high standard, meeting contractual and compliance requirements.
  4. Enhance Employability: Provide training and support services to enhance the employability of our participants.
  5. Develop Personalised Job Plans: Create tailored job plans to help our participants achieve their employment goals.
  6. Build Relationships with Employers and Community Groups: Develop and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups to promote our services and identify job opportunities.
About You

We are looking for individuals who are driven, solution-focused, and have a can-do approach. You will have empathy and compassion towards those with disability, injury, and/or barriers to employment. You will be motivated to go above and beyond for your participants, have excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate composure and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  1. Eligibility to work in Australia.
  2. A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  3. A MyGovID (Standard level).
  4. Willingness to complete a National Police Check.
  5. Able to pass a Working with Children Check.
  6. Available to work Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
