Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for securing our cloud platforms, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customers' data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of our security roadmap and practice.
  • Ensure secure cloud practices and architectures are in place and effective.
  • Configure and administer cloud assets securely throughout their lifecycle.
  • Improve security monitoring, event detection, and response.
  • Threat hunt and analyze.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities within agreed SLAs.
  • Support security compliance implementation and auditing.
  • Manage and improve SIEM and MSSP.
  • Identify emerging threats and risks.
  • Administer cloud and data security tools.
  • Deploy new security tooling.
  • Manage cloud user and service account permissions.
  • Assess and uplift CI/CD tooling security posture.
  • Participate in incident response.
  • Review network firewall configurations.
  • Support disaster recovery configuration and testing.
  • Review and advise on email security.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or Business.
  • Proven industry experience in Cloud Security or relevant personal projects.
  • Infrastructure or systems engineering experience (3+ years).
  • Auditing and securing cloud platforms.
  • Security event and incident management.
  • Python/Bash scripting.
  • Vulnerability scanning.
  • Container orchestration/Kubernetes exposure preferred.
  • CI/CD pipeline administration experience preferred.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, networking, administration, and infrastructure.
  • Secure cloud architecture design and implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security trends and emerging threats.
  • Firewall, load-balancer, and networking concepts experience.
  • Cloud security tools and systems experience.
  • Identity and Access Management experience across cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of security frameworks like SOC2.
  • Disaster recovery requirements design for cloud resources.
  • Secure email configuration knowledge.
  • Data Security concepts understanding.
